Jade enjoys printmaking as a process, as a form of investigation and meditation. She describes the nature of printmaking as volatile; “just when you think you’ve cracked a new method – a second attempt may create an unintentional effect”. Jade believes that it is impossible for her to obtain a good print without a positive mood and a length of time in the print studio.
Jade’s experience in printmaking includes running a print studio, along with several workshops and a print club that encouraged ‘skill share.’ Skill share is something Jade believes to be embedded within Printmaking. “Printmaking means to create multiples, to share information with the masses! Print is powerful!”
