As a painter and printmaker, Elizabeth takes inspiration from the world around her. The patterns in nature, a stone wall, the feathers of a bird, urban environments, barbed wire or a block of flats. Working in lino, wood engraving, drypoint and woodcut, Elizabeth is intrigued by the way each print is different. She finds interest in the sense of connection to the past, in the way that the production of print has not changed for centuries.
Elizabeth has exhibited locally in group and solo shows, as well as nationally with many societies. Working in her home studio, printing in The Art House and The West Yorkshire Print Workshop, Elizabeth also teaches watercolour and printmaking techniques to art societies throughout the North.
