Chrissie studied printmaking at the Froebel Institute, London, Leith School of Art and has attended courses at the Edinburgh Printmakers.
Chrissie makes multi-layered monoprints, monotypes and collagraphs using techniques including collage, chine collé, stencils, natural pigments and materials to create textural prints. Recently she has started practising moku-hanga (Japanese woodblock printing).
Chrissie grew up on the west coast of Scotland and has travelled widely, including Japan, Ghana and New Zealand. These experiences have influenced Chrissie’s work. Her inspiration comes from the forms, colours and textures of the natural world, which she interprets into her designs.
